Does anyone know if anything that works for mood swings during peroid time? I get so sad/angry that I can't even function some days. I don't know what to do.
Are you taking calcium supplements at all? I've found taking 1200 mg during most of the month, and upping it to 1400 mg the week before my period really, really helps.
You could also get into meditation, or breathing techniques that teach you how to calm down and relax, (not that I'm saying you're uptight or anything!) Or even start eating for your mood swings, like cut down on the caffiene if you drink a lot of cola or coffee, or even chocolate, because most chocolate has caffiene in it, but not as much as pop or coffee. Hmm, there's also caffiene free teas you could try! They really help with your cramps, and just totally relax your body.
Take care, I hope you get something straightened out!
I do. I get really sad the weekend before my period, to the point where I cry about SO much. I do take supplements, like what Kat mentions ... my dad got me this Women's System support tea, which actually really really helps. I drink off/on throughout the whole month. I have found it at local co-ops and health food stores.
im glad im not the only one! I was begining to think maybe something was really wrong with me, i'm going to look for that tea and get it b4 next month :)
