Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Not for me but so I have an idea of how to help someone else.

Now I've had CFS in the past, during my teenage years, it was hell, and it slowly went away on it's own.

Has anyone here had it while they've had a newborn? How do you deal with it? Are there any meds safe for breastfeeding? Any tips on how to make it less exhausting and hellish? I mean I was sleep deprived and zombie-ish enough during the first few months with Trey, I can't imagine how I'd handle that with CFS at the same time.

Any mamas been in this position who can offer any insight or advice? Tried and true remedies?

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

I was raised by a mother with Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction System. It was really aweful to be the kid in that situation, I was always trying to take care of her and my brother. I remember always being afraid she was going to die.

I think the best thing she did when she was going through the worst of it, was just rest and drink water and let other people take care of us as much as possible. I know it made her guilty, because she was a very active mother when she could get out of bed, but seeing her like that was so hard on me, and I know she didn't get as much rest with us around. I used to bring toys on to her bed so I could spend time with her.
