Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone knows the procedures for putting a child up for adoption in Ireland? How long does it take, can you give up the baby straight away or do you have to keep it for awhile etc? Thank you...

i have a feeling that the irish family planning association will be able to point you in the right direction toward legitimate adoption agencies. get in touch with them and let me know- the person i got their info from is very legitimate and dependable.
It depends on where you are- I am going to assume you are in South Ireland. Either way, you have options. You can request to not see the baby (this would be easily accomplished by going to a Franciscan Sisters Maternity home) or go to a secular adoption agency where you may request an open adoption.
If you are in the North of Ireland, you are under British law and they are way more progressive.
Either case, you can plan to adopt the baby at birth, or have the baby and see if you can/want to parent, and then place the baby if it doesn't work out.
PM me for further questions. I'm an Irish citizen living in the US and would be happy to give you any support.
