I'm just wondering if there is any possibility in the future to have a chat room where we can all talk in real time, separate from the forums. If not, perhaps we can start one through another server and link to it off girl-mom.
Any comments or ideas?

Well, we could all do a chat night, where we descend upon some unwitting free chatroom and fill it up with girlmoms. Or start a yahoo girlmom group and use that chat feature.
we used to do a gm chat on aim. it was julie, marie, becka, alli, megan, muy, me, erika sometimes. We would talk and have a good time. we would just set up a private chat room on aim and invite all the gms we knew who would be on/
it was pretty easy.

I'm in eastern time, if you want to push it later for all the later zone mamas, that's okay with me.

How was it? My SO and I ended up in a fight, and I forgot about it.
perhaps we could come here first and say we are going to the chat room, just as a point of reference so people can see that the actual gm with the screen name matches who is in the room... does that make sense? because essentially, anyone who sees this thread could go in under one of our screen names saying it was them, and we would really have no idea.

Yea very true point right there. I went on just to see if it worked and it did. Don't think anyone else was there though.
honestly this is just too confusing for a chat room where there's like 1 person in there every 4-5 hours, especially if you're talking about also making umpteen chat threads on here for a chat room that'll likely usually be empty.
What's wrong with the AIM idea? that way you can get someone's AIM username, and if you see a time where there's 5+ GM's on, make a chat room and you can invite anyone who's online in.

any girlmoms who want to talk or live chat can PM for my screen name .... someone deleted my buddy list on me so i now have zero "friends" online... and i dont remember a single screen name... please add me girls!
But AIM is a quick download, easy to use and most of the mamas here have it, if you don't have it if you actually do want to talk to the girls on here, I suggest you get it.

The idea behind using an independent chat is that mamas who don't have aim or yahoo, are borrowing a friend's/relative's computer, or are using the library's, can still access it. There's nothing to download you just go in.
I know my mom used to get royally pissed if I downloaded anything onto the pc, especially messengers.
