A lot of babies who are born with a full head of hair lose it in the first few months. I remember Meghan had kind of a reverse monk-styles hairdo; she had hair all over her head but just one stripe round the back was bald as a bowling ball where she'd been rubbing her head on her crib mattress. :P
It's totally normal and it will grow back. It might take a while, but he won't be bald forever. :)
Ohh okay! I was starting to panic because this never happened before. One side of his head is sorta bald, and a little of the back. He's still got some hair, but he's got bald spots!!!! About 4 of them! I never had this happen to me before with Caeolen so I was starting to worry. :shock:
Did Daunte have a lot of hair when he was born? That would make it much more noticeable.
Most of the time, it's just downy soft baby hair they have to begin with and it falls out and their 'proper hair' comes in. It might be a different colour or texture to the hair he has now too.
Yah lots of light brown hair with blonde highlights. :) He scared me because BD has no history of balding in his family and neither do I so I was hoping my baby wasn't having premature balding. :?
lots of babies lose hair. D lost almost all of his hair, he looked like an old man. then he grew back the thickest most beautiful head of hair.

Katie was born with a head of black hair. By the time she was 7 months, she was almost completely bald. But, by the time she was 2, it had grown back in...only now it's light brown.
A's hair is the same as the day he was born... almost. It's just not as even as it was at birth. He has thin spots where he rub his head on things (mattress, car seat). I was wondering when it going to grow some more.
I've always heard that it's completely normal for babies to some if not all of their "newborn hair". Then their "real hair" starts to grow in.

Yep, its really really common. My neice lost almost all her hair as a infant (probably 2-3 months old or so).. it would like come out in clumps so my sis took her to the pediatrician. The Dr told her that it was a result of trauma.. most likely from childbirth. She was bald for awhile, but now at 2 she has a full head of hair :) Dont stress mama, it will grow back!
lol, same thing happened with Lex. She had a head full of hair, and then pretty much lost it all. She had little weird bald spots, and everywhere I layed her, she left traces. lol. but yeah, doctor's said it was normal. :wink: and she has hair again now. lol
Hey I have another question: is it true that when they lose their hair (bubs) does their hair also change color and is that when you find out whether or not they'll have curly, wavy, straight, thin, or thick hair?
Yup! Cae was a black-haired spiky headed baby and now he's got blond hair that will probably get darker as he gets older.
Ya Aidan was born with lots and lots of thin black hair. And now it's thick reddish-auburn hair! Hahah! I think it'll stay red tho cuz my mom and brother had carrot red hair! I love it tho!
OKay, thanks! D has reddish/blonde hair, and it's sorta curly, but my auntie told me that once most (or all) of his hair falls out, it'll grow back a new color and texture. :?
This is kinda off topic but when I lost my hair from chemo it came back in a dark brown and a little wavy and before that it came back midnight black and straight and it was originally strait and black..
Oh neat. Do you like our new hair? I have naturally straught auburn hair, but when I cut it last year, it started to go wavy and I like the new change!
I am getting used to it. I just like having hair. But its different because I have to all the things that go along with having hair again. LOL
