Help please!

Okay heres my situation...

SO, DD & I are currently living in florida, he lives with his parents & i live with my grandparents & some things have come up & we BOTH must move immediately , I have family in NY & there willing to let us live with them until we can gather enough money to get our own place, we both have jobs waiting for us there, so it wouldent be too long before we have enough money...
Anyways we both have very little belongings, he has about 2 boxes of clothing & i have about the same, Now DD has about 3 boxes full of clothes & her crib, playpen, swing & bouncy chair....but were planning on flying & cant bring these items on the plane, any suggestions on how to get them to NY ?

As soon as we can get the plane fare we must leave... Now, my question is , a few weeks ago someone mentioned too me that my DSS (DCF) office may be able too help with the plane fare as they did once before for her, but i forgot too ask what state it was in.... anyways , has anyone heard anything like this? because we need to leave ASAP, if we both stay where were at now , we'll be homeless very soon....

PM me with where you'll be in NY. It's a big state but I might be able to help you out with some of the stuff you can't bring. Just let me know.

When we moved provinces, we took a plane and sold the crib, playpen, etc. at yardsale prices, and just got "new" ones where we moved to. We were able to get everything for free, through the "share-shed" at the dump and through freecycle, but even if that's not an option, if you sell them and keep the money, you might be able to buy used ones for the same prices. It shouldn't take very long for them to sell, either. And if you have a carseat, you can bring that with you and check it "priority" on the plane on top of your other luggage. I don't know about dss, I live in Canada. But I would definately give them a call and see if they can help you out.
