You read it right, a teething post in Our Bodies & Sexuality, and not Bringing Up Baby???
I'm teething. My wisdom teeth are coming through and the pain is freaking excrutiating! I know now what Trey's going through and I utterly feel for him.
What can I do to lessen the pain, besides swallowing all of Trey's orajel or walking around work with teething biscuits? ;)

I have already had my wisdom teeth taking out. When they said I needed it done, I didn't have any pain from them or any problems. They had to take them out because if they grew in too much it would have pushed all my teeth together and I would have crooked teeth. So they did it. After they were taken out I took tylenol because the perks were making me throw up. I suggest taking tylenol or calling a dentist and asking.
I had mine taken out last month. I had a whole lot of problems with them both before and after so the dentist gave me prescription pain killers. They worked okay, but I really prefered Aleve becuase it worked all day and I didn't feel so much like a druggie taking stuff all the time. Also, heating pads felt really good.
Clove oil applied to the gums numbs the area. It feels wierd but that is better than pain, right?
Oh! Emily is right. I put clove oil (in a sort of pasty form) on my extraction sites after I got them out and it feels much better. My dentist gave it to me so maybe you can ask them?
i had mine taken out because my mouth was too small for them and my teeth would be pushed together and all the work of wearing braces would have been for nothing. Get them taken out their is no need for them.
