Bedrest again! This sucks. I didn't have a single problem with my other two pregnancies, and with this one I'm on bedrest again. I had a tiny bit of blood today and yesterday and I've been cramping. I've had a really bad cough for about a week, and my midwife thinks it's putting a lot of pressure on my uturus and cervix. The fetus seems fine, it's still kicking a lot, but it's still scary. She's coming to check my cervix tomorrow and make sure it's not doing anything, and she's also going to check me for infection. I'll let you all know what I find out. I'm just trying to keep off my feet for now and keep positive. My bf is being really supportive, he's staying home for a couple days to take care of the kids and bring me food and stuff. Actually, he's a lot more scared than I am. I have a general feeling that things will be ok, and this is my body's way of forcing me to take it easy when I need rest. I'm so bored though. If any of you have been on bedrest, what did you do to keep yourself occupied? We're going to rent some dvds tomorrow, but we don't have a tv and I really don't want to just stare at the computer screen all day.

Re: Bedrest again!
When I was on bed rest, I watched so much silly tv. If I was ever on it again I would probably do crosswords, sudoku etc. Do you knit? Good luck!
Re: Bedrest again!
Sorry to hear that. Are there any books you've been wanting to read that you could maybe get someone to pick you up from the library? Hope you get good news tomorrow and things go back to normal.
Re: Bedrest again!
She checked me out today, and the fetus is WAY too low and bearing down on my cervix, and I'm slightly effaced, so I'm on bedrest and I have to do exercises that elevate my pelvis and try to push it back up where it should be. So I'll be laying low for quite a while it looks like. I have a good book to read, and some writing to work on, but I have tons of laundry to do, and I'm homeschooling, and the dishes need washing, etc, etc, and it's so hard to sit around and watch things not get done. BF is doing a lot, but he's going back to work Sunday and I'll be on my own again. But I have to do what I have to do, I really don't want to go into labor early. I'm only 24 weeks!
Re: Bedrest again!

Re: Bedrest again!
With Nova i went into preterm labor at 24 weeks and spent 2 monthys on hospital bedrest, magnesium sulfate and terbutaline.. we made it to 32 weeks before I had a placental abruption.
I spent waaay to much time online while I was on bedrest.. and talked on the phone and with my nurses quite alot. Its boring, I will say that!
Re: Bedrest again!
Well,I'm better again! Yay! The fetus moved back to a good position, and it turned out I had a really bad case of bacterial vaginosis which was causing the cramping. I did stop working, but I'm able to do most of my normal daily activity now. Hope it stays this way till 40 weeks!
