pulled my left butt check muscle...Yeah, so this past wednesday I badly pulled my left butt check muscle. I was bending down to put on my shoes and holy fuck, I was sent tumbling to the ground. Frustratingly I was the only one home... I made it to the couch and was stuck there till my little brother came home an hour later. Now ever since wednesday the same muscle has given me lots of issues. Nearly every activity utilizes this ass check muscle so I've had to be really careful about nearly everything I do. I'm super active so the idea of slowing down is completely foreign to me. Today is the first day since wednesday I haven't pulled it again (yet... it's only 8pm)...twice when I've sneezed I've pulled the same muscle (how is one suppose to avoid sneezing... I mean come on!). ... oh god... I feel a sneeze coming on...

Re: pulled my left butt check muscle...
Just try to take it easy and let it heal. Sounds painful. Also, I don't agree with attempting to strengthen a pulled muscle even if you aren't pregnant. You want to let it heal, then once it's healed be sure to stretch it before you exercise and exercise daily. Hope it feels better soon.
Re: pulled my left butt check muscle...
I have the same problem with my sciatic. With each pregnancy it's been the same. Seemingly at random it feels like the nerve pops in my ass and my leg either stops working or I have to limp everywhere slowly. It only feels better after I've slept with a pillow between my legs. Maybe just try laying down for a while with the leg attatched to the specific ass cheek elevated with a small pillow?
Re: pulled my left butt check muscle...
ahhh the pillow between the legs... that was the only way I could sleep for a while.. try it it feels great!
Re: pulled my left butt check muscle...
Ouch that sucks! Hope you get better soon.
Re: pulled my left butt cheek muscle...
Well it's slowly getting better, still painful even after more than a week though, it's just getting frustrating. I'm glad it's spring break for me, at least now I don't have to walk from class to class.
And how embarrassing, I spelled cheek wrong, oops.
