Just need to vent!

Headlice stinks big time. I finally took victory over the laundry. But we are treating our heads again with some homeopathic gel that I got at whole foods, because we were all still itchy after using RID and combing. OH and my poor DS who has sensory processing disorder normally hates having his hair washed/brushed. He has been super aggressive about this.

Ugh we went through like 4 rounds last winter- she kept bringing it home from her dads. suave cocunut shampoo and blowing your hair dry are supposed to help

I am so sorry to hear this. I went through this several times as a child. Baby oil helps remove them . ;)

Straighten everyones hair!!! The heat kills them. Then mix up a solution of conditioner, water and a few tea tree oil drops and spray on the hair and comb through - nits hate tea tree oil.

Re: Just need to vent!

I can't even imagine how much lice would suck for a kiddo with sensory issues :(

Last time we had it brought home, I ended up using olive oil - soaked the head in olive oil, and slept with it on overnight with a shower cap on, I did that for a few days, and then waited a week and did it again for a few days, suffocates the buggers. I put a few drops of tea tree oil in shampoo now for every day use - it IS something they hate, so it will hopefully prevent them from coming home again!
