Errr... I dont know if this happens a lot to everyone or its just me but Adriana seems to wet through or even worse poop through her diapers all of the time!! she goes through like 3-4 outfits a day sometimes... and its not because I dont change her often enough cuz I check all the time to see if shes wet or dirty but when she does it goes everywhere.... is this just how it is or should I use different diapers (I use huggies right now)??
I hated Huggies and Pampers. I always had leaks and messes with them. Now, I use the store brand and they work well. We also do cloth diapers as well. I also found the younger Jocelyn was, the worse the leaks and messes.
try a few different brands, i think you can't pick one brand for every baby y'know? They're all shaped slightly different, and some might fit your kiddo better than others, perhaps?
I had problems with Huggies, so I stopped using them. If it's leaking or poop is getting everywhere, then her diapers are too tight and you need to go one size up.
Zoe was doing that for a while- and then I realized that her diapers were to small. Try a size up and see what happens.
How old is she? What is she eating? id she having normal bowel movements?
I'd try the Pampers Swaddlers, and also buy a size bigger than you do in the Huggies. Huggies never worked well for my kids, I've found Pampers are a much better diaper for my kids. Except the Preemie diapers, Huggies preemies are MUCH MUCH better than Pampers preemies. She is probably just putting out more than they can handle, which means even if the diapers fit fine, that she needs to be moved up a size. White Cloud diapers are also pretty good diapers. I HATED dri-bottoms. I don't know if I got a defective package or something, but they didn't absorb at all, like the kid was soaked, and the diaper was dry, because it hadn't absorbed anything. Like I said I may have gotten a defective package, but I will never buy them again, they were awful.
Gosh I regret getting the huge package now!! oh well I will give them away to one of the parenting places I go to they will be happy to have them. Thanks for the replies I will now go get pampers, she is in the weight limit for size one still but I guess she puts out too much for them to handle hehe so I guess she's gonna get size two now... I hope this works, Im sick of doing all this laundry :lol:
Does your baby have sensitive skin? If so, I'd steer clear of pampers because they're scented. They gave my daughter horrible rashes.
Jenna has sensitive skin, and Pampers are the only diapers that don't give her horrible rash. I never noticed the scent on the diapers, but that is kind of interesting, I never knew that. Huggies actually make Jenna get horrible horrible rashes, and the pampers clears it right up.
I actually really like Dri Bottoms. They worked really good after my daughter turned one, and from day one with my son. Huggies and Pampers always leaked, which really ticked me off because they were pretty expensive. Luvs were good with Victoria, but sucked for Jacob. I've never tried White Cloud, but I've heard good things about them.
All babies are different though. Do what I did, and try different brands until you find the right kind.
first off, i hope the new size works better! glad someone could find a use for the rest of the size 1s.
second, we tried about 6 different kinds of diapers before settling on huggies. luvs ALWAYS smelled like pee with my kid, even if he hadn't peed...i don't know why (are luvs scented, too?). pampers didn't work out either for some reason, and i remember that the white cloud diapers worked okay for us but not as well as huggies. we had tried a couple other generic/store brands, too, but i have a bad memory.
like everyone has said, each baby is shaped differently and different kinds work for different kids. :)
I use white cloud and really like them and they are way cheaper. I do use huggies overnights though they have never leaked. White Cloud used to make an overnight type but they either quit making them or my wal-mart quit carrying them.
good luck on the size change. we use huggies and i love them. i didnt like pampers becuase they werent stretchy and they always looked like they were cutting into his legs. huggies have the stretchie sides and tabs so they look more comfortable plus i havent had as many leaks as ive had with alot of other brands.
Pampers swaddlers have stretchy sides now. The baby dry don't have stretchy sides, but the swaddlers do.

That gave her a horrible rash. Finally, we settled on Luvs. I like the way they fit, and they claim to have a no leak guarantee... I haven't had one leak of poop OR pee since we switched to Luvs.

i did like the pampers swaddlers but couldnt find them past size 1 and i buy by the box and i could never find them in a big pack either :(

I just noticed that with the new pack i bought kayla is a bit mad because barney is gone lol
They have the swaddlers in size 2 now. After size 2 they are called cruisers. I'm a diaper goru of sorts, because of all the diaper panels Thing 1 and 2 have been on. Kayla hasn't been on any yet, but thats because they don't have diaper panels for preemies. J is on a diaper panel right now, and we finished the first code which were luvs (had about 2 leaks) and we are on White Cloud now. We don't ALWAYS use more than one brand in a panel, just whichever diapers they give us. Panels are awesome! Pampers work the best for my kids, but White Cloud is about the same IMO, so thats what we are gonna buy from now on I think. Gotta go, J STILL hasn't been to sleep for her nap, and it's 4:45pm, so I gotta go convince her to sleep. She just laid down at 3:00pm.
