I was at my mall this weekend and they had boths set up for local healthcare agencies and the national right to life had a both set up with model fetuses in a giant bowl for people to take! grrrrr! WTf!
I took the remaining model fetus in the bowl ...impulse i guess... the say sweet baby 12-13 weeks on them!!! I guesss i could of handled that better but i was floored to see the booth in my mall!
any ideas as to how i could have reacted to this besides stealing all the model fetuses?
Obviously the director of the mall approved of the booth, but if you're upset, I'm sure you're not the only one. Perhaps you could get a petition going and stand outside the mall and ask people to sign it if they were startled/offended/shocked by the booth and no longer want the model fetuses on display for people to take if they'd like to. You could also speak to the mall director about the booth and about how shocked you were.
OMG!! Im in shock! I didnt think stuff like that actually went on but i guess it does. I would definitely find out who to talk to to get things changed. Thats wrong.

but i think what really pisses them off is the fact the majority of those women seeking abortions are white, middle class women. it is WOC who generally, for whatever reason, choose to continue their pregnancy. these nut cases project "racism" onto the founder of Planned Parenthood when they are really worried that POC are going to somehow "out-breed" all the white folk.
There was a booth like that at my high school career fair. Fucking sickening.
You make the little fetuses mini t-shirts that say "Pro-Choice". Then take a pic and send it to whatever agency was managing the booth. :wink:
