I got a copy of the book, (for free) most of it is quotes and sayings from fellow mama's and her life story didnt read through just yet waiting for some quiet time... I did enjoy reading some of the fellow GM'ers quotes though! but not some of the other * shrugs*
ya i saw an ad for "focus on the family" in a newspaper and said "what the fuck??" in the middle of my high school library...ooops :) anyway i called them and had a looong conversation about equality for EVERYONE! ..men..women...gay .. straight.. and i made the guy speechless a few times ...it felt good to tell him how i felt. And then reading this? this is just ridiculous..unbelievable. Good for you whoever is doing something about it!
uh this makes me sick. i finally read through this whole thread today. I remember when she first posted at the old board lloking for submissions. it was about the same time Deborah Davis was collecting submissions for her book. Deborah Davis was actually the one to post in Tricia's thread asking about the books content and saying hey isn't that a christian publisher. if I remember right trica said yes she writes christian books and gave kinda vauge answers about whether this book would be christian themed. then gms started saying publicly on the board don't use any quote by me in her thread.
Those of you looking to take legal action against Tricia Goyer I would recommend contacting Deborah Davis to see if she remembers that thread & if she'd be willing to be a witness since she was there when this all went down.
and I don't think amazon let's authors personally delete bad reviews. I think what happened is Tricia contacted amazon claiming we're spreading lies about her and pointed them to this thread as proof that we have some kid of master plan to destroy her and they took the reviews down. gawd i wish we had the content from the old boards still. the fucking proof is right there in that first thread by Tricia. people said don't quote me. maybe someone should also email Bee Lavender & explain what's going on & see if she saved the content of the old boards when she did the switch over.
THIS IS A REALLY OLD THREAD. But I just wanted to say I was all tripped out when I read it because I went with a friend I just met to something called MOPS and got that stupid book recently. The only thing I could read was the quotes because everything else rubbed me the wrong way. It's crazy to think that some of these GMs were quoted in there! Especially without their permission. Does anyone know what ever happened with everything??

I sure hope not... or I'll be sending it back. I was under the assumption that she was offering these books for FREE to the site that she quoted.

Tricia- have you contacted a lawyer yet? From what I can gather from infomally talking to people who know stuff about this- you definitly have a case.
Tricia, tell her you want a cut of the royalties from the book sales, or you will sue.
