for my intro psyc class i have to read 52 :!: pages of boring psychology history and guess what page i am on, 5! This is not a good way to start my second week of college. just thought y'all would like to know :wink:
intro psych sucks! i know that i hated it. there's soooooo much info that is packed into a reasonably short period of time and a lot of it is so dry and boring. even once i got into biopsych, more along my lines of study and interest, it was still really hard to force myself to read the book. just try to break it up into chunks so it doesn't seem as overwhelming. like, make your goal 15 pages then you get a 5 minute break or something. good luck!
I had to do psych last semester and hated because it was so full of mother-bashing diatribes.
Sexist, racist, elitist, obsessed with western ways being "the norm", it infuriated me.
Such as all the theories on bonding.
Like there is one universal way of mothering...
