i know hoe to preper as far as clean drinking water and all the other stuff they drilled in my head but i have no idea how to get help if when i come back i have nothing!
If you haven't left yet, use your camera, or get a disposable camera if you have to, and take pictures of any big ticket items you may have - TV, Refridgerator, stove, computer, etc. Try to get the brand name/model number in the picture if possible, or at least a clear shot of any details about the model. Anything over $50 is a good rule.
That way, for anything you don't have a receipt for, you have proof that it was in your home at the time. Also, it's a good idea to set the date stampy thingy on your camera if you can.
This is also a good idea for anyone to have for insurance reasons, in case of fire or other disaster.
