For my compesition class I have to watch the movie American Beauty, pick out a person from the movie and do a character analysis about him/or her. I TOTALLY STINK at picking out chracter qualities and personalities. Once someone gets me going with a little inspiration I'm good to go (Who knows why??). But anyway. I am going to try to do an analysis on the "weird" guy who films everything (forgot his name, lol). If you've seen this movie, can someone help me pick out some charactor trates about him? I'm going to have to write a 900 word essay on him (but my trachef does NOT want a summary of the movie, only an essay about the particular charactor). I've watched the movie twice now, SOMEONE HELP ME..... :0) I've always had trouble picking out or describing personalities. There is this one lady I know and when I tell her about friends of mine, she's like "oooh, whats their personality like." And I'm like uuuuh, I dunno....LOL...anyway, any help you can give will be a HUGE help to me, I'm struggling here.......

the biggest molder of his personality is his father. he has to project being an upstanding kid and while he doesnt necessarily want to be that "straight-edge" good kid, he doesnt want to disappoint his father.
because his father is a closet gay man, he must constant project a "manly" image and any lapse in having the perfect son will reflect badly on him.
both have to work very hard to main facades that neither really want. eventually they crack.

Hell yeah! I love that movie! Do ricky, like vegenglit said. He is an awesome, interesting character. Damn, I love that movie.
