What are all you crafty mama's doing for gifts this year? I just went and bought some clear glass coffee mugs, I'm going to etch names into them, and then fill with hot cocoa, mini marshmallows and either a peppermint stick or chocolate spoons. For the parents I'm doing a coffee basket, putting two mugs in each one, some homemade almond biscotti, and some yummy chocalate bars.
For the younger kids (under 2) I'm making "quiet books", http://marthastewart.com/page.jhtml?type=content&id=channel1285&catid=cat411
I'm kinda undecided on the older kids... like Toph's friends, but was thinking about "craft boxes" filled with all sorts of supplies, paint brushes, chalk, old magazines, and assorted papers.
I have one baby on my list, and I'm going to make her a wooden growth chart.
For the SO, I have NO FREAKING CLUE!! LOL, I can tell everyone else what to get him, but can't think of anything "special" enough to be from me. Maybe sex coupons?

I did sex coupons for my ex one year. His b-day was Dec 22nd, so I did it for that. He came over & I answered the door in a sexy feathered bra & panties and handed him the box. I had candles, massage oil, pleasure balm, and coupons for different things like sensual massages, sex in a public place, etc etc.
Gawd, I used to be so much cooler.
Yikes... I'm not crafty at all. LOL.
The one unique gift I'm putting together is a basket for my MIL. I'm going to some yarn in it, some knitting needles, a few crafty books/magazines, some true crime books, some candles, and a few other things that pertain to her interests. :)
i'm with you pam, i'm sooo not crafty. i have this cross-stitch that i did while pregnant that i still show off to people, because it's my ONE successful craft attempt. when i tried knitting, i liked doing it, but somehow the scarf that came in the kit i bought turned out to be too small for even Dylan to wear!
(i just wrote a bunch of stuff here, but rather than take over your thread mouse, i'm just going to make another one, since my worries are just about gifts for partners and not crafty at all, since see above, heh)
Weeeell... I had all these plans. Socks for my dad and brother (crocheted), a sweater for my mom (crocheted) and a scarf for my sister (knitted). I finished... one sock. I have the other mostly finished, but that's still a pair left to do! I don't think I have the time to make that sweater, but I found a cute knitted hat that I may do instead. My sister's scarf is maybe... 1/4 of the way done? It's coming along nicely, I just need to make myself do it.
I swear to god, I am starting Christmas presents in July next year.
Mouse - I did something similar for my parents last year. They love coffee, so I bought a basket, put in several types of coffee, two mugs, and cookies.
