Using cloth diapers....

Every time my baby poops it comes right out the legs of his diapers. They used to hold but he has slimmed out. I am using two diapers in one cover. Any suggestions? I can't really afford disposables, but it seems like it might have to come to that.

What kind of cloth diapers are you using?

Do you need a bigger size?

I'm using kushies, and I think maybe they are too big because he has slimmed out. He is a really slim baby. Anywhere I can get used/cheap cloth diaper covers?

I use Kushies covers as well and like them, but I know a lot of people have problems with them. If you are on lj, check out diaper_addicts, they foten have good trades or deals from other cd moms.

Prefolds are always a good idea because you can fold them different ways to keep poop in. :)

I dont think disposiables would solve your problem because that happens to my son sometimes...

Thanks, I do use prefolded diapers. Also, when I put a disposable on him they very rarely leaks, and when it does the leaks are small. These leaks are huge!

How old is your baby? When you lay him down on the prefold leave it un-folded and then only fold the front flaps in, after that pull one tightly over to the side, then bring the back flap to the front and pin it. Repeat the other side, this will make what looks like little shorts. You may need to get a bigger size prefold also.

I started out with cloth diapers too, and quickly had to switch to disposables. A trick I used (esp. at night) was to put my son in a cloth diaper and then a disposable over it. I never had any porblems with leakage after that.

No problem hon, Khylie has explosive poos, so I had to figure out a way to keep them contained.

I like Fuzzibunz too, they hold her biggest poos lol.
