Yep, I passed my NCLEX exam! I feel so relieved!
And I even started an IV today too!-- first try!
Now I can stop studying and make some money! I think I'm gonna suck it up and stay with my parents and save up for a downpayment for a condo. If I'm gonna be a single mom I cna't really afford to keep shelling out $ for rent- esp with the prices around here.
So, yeah, I'm an official Registered Nurse now- go ahead, gimme my props! :P

Congrats again, but I'm a little confused. I'n mot at all doubting you, just curious. Isn't an RN a 4 year degree? I thought it was an AA plus 2 years of nursing school. Let me know how it all works.

You can get your RN after an associate's degree. If you go for four years you get your BSN (bachelor's of science in nursing). You actually start off making the same amount of money no matter which degree you have. You just can't move up to things like administration without your BSN. Some schools don't offer an associate's degree program, so maybe that's why you haven't heard of it.
Eventually, I will go back to school and do a master's program, but that won't be for a while. It does feel wierd to actually be finished (for now) because while I was in school this day felt like it would NEVER come!
This is my last week of orientation at my job though and I'll admit I'm scared as shit to be on my own! :lol:
