Just wanted a quick little proud-mama announcement :) My son's now considered a DOCBand Graduate (please refer to Your Child's Heads - Plagiocephaly threads). The helmet he had to wear to correct his head shape, is off! For good! After 4 months of wearing it 23 hours a day, every day!
I can't wait to post before and after pictures. The results have been amazing. We have a mannequin type molding of how his head used to be from the casting they did, and you can definitely see the change.
I'm very happy, I got my bebeh with a perfectly round lil noggin :)

That is great to hear. I am glad that it worked out for him and you.
that's awesome :)
Wonderful news! I remember your posts from when he first got the helmet - has it really been four months already?? Time certainly seems to fly lately! Glad that you had such good results!
Congrats!!! Thats soo exciting!!!!
THAT'S GREAT!!! :D
yay for Mr. T!
im so happy for you both! i cant wait to see the pics of him. :)
Shalisa
That's awesome!
Congratulations on your son's head. I've been seeing more women I know who have children with misshapen heads, but nothing too major. How would you suggest bringing up the possibility of seeing a doctor? Should I bring it up at all? Would that be overstepping my bounds?
Definitely bring it up!!
If you want, I can provide a link to a yahoo message group that you can join. There's a huge files section that contain printable handouts. That way, if you don't feel comfortable ever bringing it up, you can just pass on a handout. The handouts are wallet-sized and contain just about all the information you need to know.
The group is http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Plagiocephaly/
If you want the handouts, join then go to :
-> Files
---> Help Folder
-----> Handouts
and click on "CristiPlagioWallet.doc" and "CristiPlagioWallet2.doc". Each file contains 2 pages, and if you print them double sided, they should line up so that it's just a tiny square with info on the front and back, then you can staple one from each file together to make a little wallet-sized 2 page booklet.
:) It also shows how to prevent it, so I'd suggest handing it out to all new moms, just so they're ultra aware of what too much time in a swing/chair/stroller as well as not repositioning can lead to in some babes.
Thanks!
Good to hear about Treys head, and it's great you're working so hard to inform people about plagiocephaly (which I wouldn't have heard about if not for you).
congrats!
