13. How was the first year? It went fast. I've learned so much about myself from her, it's amazing. She's an easy kid and always has been. I got lucky. Hopefully I'll be as lucky next time around.
14. Would you change anything? Not one thing. Except that time she fell down the stairs because like an idiot I didn't shut the door all the way. Other than that, no. I've learned a lot from these experiences.

Actually, there is one thing I would change. I had been interested in other birthing options, including homebirth, but chose the tradional, ultra-medical route to be "safe." I didn't care for how unsupportive the staff was of my natural birth desires, and hindsight, would have chosen other options, and/or hired a doula.
Oddly enough, I'm in the same boat again, except it's not by choice exactly. I live in a different country now, and the culture VERY much sees birth as something to be ultra-medicalized. I'm still exploring avenues that are more supprotive of natural births, but it's not looking good so far. Before we moved here, I started my prenatal care for this pregnancy at a birthing center in the U.S., and that's something that is right up my alley.

11. When did you go into labor? I started having mild contractions at work at around 9:00am on Friday and had her at 6:36am the next morning.
12. Did you give birth vaginally or by C-section? How long was your labor? I delievered vaginally. I only pushed for about 15-20 minutes and she was out, but I was contracting for like 20 hours? Thank goodness for epidurals.
13. How was the first year? It went fast. I've learned so much about myself from her, it's amazing. She's an easy kid and always has been. I got lucky. Hopefully I'll be as lucky next time around.
14. Would you change anything? Not one thing. Except that time she fell down the stairs because like an idiot I didn't shut the door all the way. Other than that, no. I've learned a lot from these experiences.

C section after two hrs of pushing and vacuum and forceps. I dialated to 7 in 2 hrs and then stalled and it took 4 hrs to get to 9 which is as far as I got (epidural at 7)

I'd have been happier with the actual pregnancy.

-First time: Emergency C-section... 2 hours. (Placenta ruptured and they lost her heart beat and were lossing me)
-Second time: Emergency C-section after 16 1/2 hours of labor AFTER being induced and having my water broken at 1cm... They were stretching my cervix but I would only dialate to 7cm and go down to 5cm during a contraction and her head was being squished.

-Second time: HELL! She is only 5 1/2 months old, but was colic for the first 4 3/4 months. Very Very Very picky child.

When I was induced

Vaginally. From the time the pitocin was started, about 9 hours. Pretty straight-forward.
13. How was the first year?
Great. Dh took a little longer to adjust than I expected, so my workload was more than I wanted it to be, but still great overall.
14. Would you change anything?
No.
15. Do you plan on anymore children?
Yes. Currently pregnant with #2, and I only wish we could have ttc this one sooner. We have plans for a #3, but we'll see what ends up happening.
Actually, there is one thing I would change. I had been interested in other birthing options, including homebirth, but chose the tradional, ultra-medical route to be "safe." I didn't care for how unsupportive the staff was of my natural birth desires, and hindsight, would have chosen other options, and/or hired a doula.
Oddly enough, I'm in the same boat again, except it's not by choice exactly. I live in a different country now, and the culture VERY much sees birth as something to be ultra-medicalized. I'm still exploring avenues that are more supprotive of natural births, but it's not looking good so far. Before we moved here, I started my prenatal care for this pregnancy at a birthing center in the U.S., and that's something that is right up my alley.

The first time 15 ive been pregnant 6 times previous to this one im 23 now I have no living children other then the one in my belly now

Happy, excited, suprised

He was kind of scared (because of my previous losses) but happy at the same time

Yes, not there yet but so far I have an incompetent cervix and needed a cervical cerclage (stitches in the cervix) I had them taken out in my 37th week I am now 39 weeks exactly today and contractions are coming and going
6. Did you "know" you were pregnant before you took a test?
yes, I always know my body is pregnant
7. What symptoms did you have if any?
morning sickness, gagging at anything, swollen boobs, anxiety
8. How long did you wait to take a test?
2 weeks
9. When did you find out the sex (if you did)?
I found out through my 3rd ultrasound and 4th it is a girl
10. Did you try to self induce your labor?
yes, i tried sex, walking, scrubbing floors, membrane stripping(although I didnt do that), heavy lifting, excersise. Nothing worked so far but I had sex last night so hopefully that will help

I am going to try for vaginal birth which I should accomplish. My first was a stillbirth and labor was 2 hours and i was dilated only 5 when he was born 1lbs 12 oz. This next one should be a regular birth

Dont know havent gotten there yet im sure it will be hell though

yes I would have been in labor by now

Yes, maybe anyway I have lots of complications cant have sex while the stitches are in which is about 7 months I have to watch myself a lot but we both want more then one child

Was going to break up with me after I had the baby because he loved me and wanted to support me but couldnt handle being a daddy...and then later told me he could never leave me cuse he loves me too much :D
5. Did you have any complications?
I might have them, because before I found out I was pregnant I was heavily addicted to crystal meth, and was doing it for the first three weeks of my pregnancy without knowing I was pregnant, so now I have to go to a special doctor who specializes in mothers who did or are doing drugs through pregnancy.
6. Did you "know" you were pregnant before you took a test?
Nope. My father and boyfriend did though. They kept trying to get me to go but I thought they were silly.
7. What symptoms did you have if any?
Before I found out? High Tempratures, peeing alot, tender boobs, mood swings, and fatigue.

two weeks after a missed period.

10. Did you try to self induce your labor? - no I wanted to use Castor Oil but I was scared
11. When did you go into labor? - I was induced on Feb 21st but didn't give birth till Feb 23rd
