I agreed with my husband that we would use a different form of birth control for now until he is ready to get a vasectomy. (which he still insists he is going to do). He hates condoms, I am afraid to use any kind of hormone birth control, and because of my sensitivity toward infection, I was told not to use an IUD. Anybody use a diaphragm? How effective, expensive are they? How do you get one? Any other B/C ideas are welcome! Thanks!

I've been reading about the FemCap lately and plan to talk to my doctor about getting one at my next appointment. Maybe it's something you'd be interested in:

From my history with numerous kidney and UTI's I have learned that diaphragm and cervical cap cause the most risk to infection. I have gotten an IUD, took it out, and plan to go back and get another. I never got an infection from the strings.
