This is kinda weird, but my daughter (3) has been doing this since she was little, but she gags whenever I use certain types of soap or shampoo. So far the only shampoo I have found that she uses is Tresemme (weird huh?) hehe.... and I use stuff not tested on animals, so there's not lots of options! I don't know why she does this, but she'll gag and start crying from the smell... anyone else's kids do that? She also does that with certain bar or liquid soap...
hmmm...

soap and gagging..

Wow, my kids have never done that. I guess you just have a really sensitive kid.
Hmm, yea thats not very common I dont think. Could she possibly be allergic to something in it?
thats my first reaction. she has a serious allergy to something. this may or may not be true, but if she is gagging over things that easliy i would think so. have you used onething and she gagged and not used it anymore? If so, maybe try something she has gagged to before just to see the reaction. i know when Laerin has a cold she will throw up at the smell of anything strong.
hmm... I don't know if it is allergies because I have talked to her doctor about it and stuff. I think she does it, because I have used brands and then we'll switch to something else and then I'll use that brand before and she'll gag. Or if i say someting like, "This is a cute bear's shampoo or soap..." she'll use it. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this with their kids...
it probablly really makes her fell ugh!! I know Andrew gags when I think he wants his pacifier and he really doesnt. It is quite gross!
have you tried using shamppoo with absolutly no smell at all??? i have a very sensitve nose, and things that are perfumy smellly make me gag. maybe you could make some??? without any scent to it??
Tay has never done that either. She loves everything girlie and smelly.. lotion, shampoo, bath gel, you name it she loves it. Very girlie girl here! LOL
My bf did that when he was little (he's ultra sensitive to certain smells), he still gets nauseous when he smells strong perfumey scents. So, it could just be that.
