I just started making Marley's food myself...but i was wanting some suggestions on how you do it.
Like do you boil the food, bake it, steam it? Do you peel your food first or just wash it real good?
I made sweet potatoes the other day. Peeled and rinsed them, then boiled them until they were soft. Then i threw them in the blender and pureed w/ a little formula. (should i use her formula or should i use water?)
What is the best way to do apples, peaches, or pears?
Thanks!

Ok...i made some more tonight.
Apples...i boiled and pureed...very good.
Squash...put in a little water and baked till it was soft...then pureed.
Carrots...are boiling as we speak...
I'm interested in knowing how to make homemade baby food also, since buying it is soo expensive!!
Mostly we would just peel & steam. I think steaming retains the vitamins better than boiling?
As the kids got older just pureeing is fine for pears, apples.
Bananas are the easiest, just need to fork-mash them.
We'd bulk things up with baby yogurt or fortified rice cereal.
the_lissa gave me this link...it has lots of tips and gives ideas on how to prepare the food.

I got one of those Magic Bullet things and it is awesome for mashing up baby food!
