I posted this on the old boards but never got a response, and it's still something I'd like to know if anyone has any information on.
After giving birth to Trey I started getting really bad cramps. I thought it was normal, my uterus going back to normal, and of course I'd be in pain, I just shot a baby out. I could barely walk, it hurt so bad. After a week, at the first checkup, I couldn't walk unless I hobbled reallly slowly, and I was almost crying it hurt so bad. The doctor did a check up and said I had a pretty nasty infection in my uterus. She gave me some antibiotics and I didn't get to ask the questions I had because it was on to Trey's checkup and I got distracted. The uterus infection got better after a week of antibiotics.
I've read that bad uterus infections can affect future fertility. Does anyone know if this is true? I'm going to be trying to conceive again in August, and I'd like to find out beforehand if it's a possibility so I'm prepared for it.
Any advice? experiences? resources? halp!
