Deathspike-You need to reevaluate why you are here. Read the mission statement, more than once. This website is here to support and encourage young mothers to do the best they can for themselves and their children. Using government resources is nothing to be ashamed of. They're there for a reason: to help those who need it.
Also, the way society views teen/young mothers is unacceptable and we don't need that attitude here.

I have no problem with young mothers taking government handouts, but seriously, why is something that probably is preserving the human race right now UNACCEPTABLE?

FATE-Just want to let you know that here at girlmom we do not judge people based on age, and I am also wondering why her age would have anything to do with her being pregnant? You seem to be very presumptuous.

preserving society is different from preserving the human race. Humans have many kinds of societies. some civilized, some tribal, etc. This is ONE culture. If they were preserving the human race they would be down to help those of us reproducing, eh?
Keep in mind that in a hierrarchical society, the leaders are most often trying to preserve THEMSELVES, and a good way to do that when your on top is to keep others below. this particular hierrarchical society has the rich on top (thats what happens in capitalism). I think thats important to keep in mind when thinking about rules "society" has. If you havent noticed, most of the people on this website if not all are PART of society but do any of us decide on any of the "collective" negative views of young mamas or getting government handouts? No we dont. If it were up to us, those views wouldnt exist, and in our own spaces, like this website, for the most part they dont.
