I want to make some home made baby wipes, and I want to make them out of the softest material made. I don't care if they get all stained (their only purpose is to clean shit off my kid's butts so it dosen't really matter what they look like), but I was wondering what the softest material is....

Velour is my all time favorite!!! Every cloth wipe I own has velour on at least one side :)
perhaps something like polar fleece? Flannel?
Delphiki where do you find the velour to make your wipes, and do you have a recipe?
Ummm... I'm not the best at sewing so I made mine but a friend of mine made her own out of some of her kid's outgrown velour outfits. Those are soooooo soft. Walmart and sewing stores generally sell velour and there are diaper co-ops going on all the time for it.
I bought mine from www.darlingdiapers.com I've said how much I love her stuff before but she is really fabulous. I have used the wipes for 6 months now and the velour shows NO signs of wear. I prefer double sided velour to velour and flannel since flannel gets pilly and rough. They also make great chew toys when they're teething!!
You can also get on diaperSWAP on Yahoo groups and post an ISO post for velour wipes. I got some off there too.
Feel free to pm me with any questions!!!
