I saw my stomach today. My real stomach, how it looks under the bright store lights and I almost died. It's all streched out and has stretch marks and even though i'm brown skinned, the stretch marks are starting to turn red. And on top of all that my stomach is constantly itching. I was looking for an outfit to wear to my baby shower tomorrow, and after seeing all of that I got so depressed and didn't want to go. I feel much better now, but someone let me know they get better right? (I'm secretly hoping that they will.)

some do and some do not. after awhile your strechmarks will turn to silvery white marks. You may learn to love your strech marks, and afterawhile you will not even remember that they are there. Use baby oil, losts of it, many times a day and that should help the itching.
they will eventually fade, you really can't do much about them, even moisturizing and whatnot really won't change much because the stretching is happening deep underneath the skin.
It happens to most of us during pregnancy... it's just one of those things that you'll just have to accept. It may take a while, but with time the acceptance will come.
i used to hate my stretch marks, but now i am indifferent towards them. The thing that sucks is it looks weird to wear a bathing suit. Palmers cocoa butter is a crock of shit cuz i used it and it didnt do a damn thing. but i guess you can try that.... lol for the itching, just use lotion or something to keep the skin from drying.
Use hardcore moisturisers for the itching. Make sure you use it after you shower (the water helps your skin dry out more).
The stretch marks generally do fade after a while. Mine havn't gone away, but their not that dark, ripped red color. they're silver, whitish. It's hard, your body changes so much during pregnancy, and it won't be the same.
That was one of the hardest things for me, was getting used to how my body changed, it was like it wasn't me for a while. But, I've learned to love it (most of the time). I like running my fingers over my stretch marks (they feel cool).
My stretch marks are almost gone. They are down do a light pink color. Evenyone is different. My mom's stretch marks didn't do away. I like Aloe Vera and coco butter products as moisturizers.
i'm brown skinned too and my stretch marks faded out to the same color as my skin... but the skin itself looks different... i was lucky with my daughter cuz i didnt get em really bad and she was really big... but i'm on my second baby now and im actually getting NEW stretch marks... i was hoping i'd luck out again... plus these ones are starting out all purply instead of red like with my daughter... eeew
i felt the same way, i thought that i would get lucky and be free of stretch marks, but i wasnt...they really arent that bad now, and to get them removed they give u 2nd degree burns wit a laser...OWCH..no thanks, they will fade, and they are a mapped development of ur childs growth..thats how i look at it..plus once u have the baby they wont be as big as they are on ur tummy now...use lots of lotion to help wit the itch, the cold weather and heat doesnt help wit dry skin, and use a lotion that doesnt have alcohol in the first 5 ingredients, that can help to dry ur skin out.
