yesterday, Thursday, I pumped some milk for my dughter to go over to her father's house tomorrow. When I looked at the bottle later in the evening yesterday there was come condensation at the top of the bottle, and when I looked at the bottle a little bit ago it seemed to be like crusted milk at the top of the bottle. Is this milk still safe to give to her tomorrow? In the guide to breastfeeding I got at the hospital it says that breast milk can stay in the fridge between 5 and 7 days, but I read elsewhere that it can only stay 2-3 which is right?

it should be fine, just stir it up (or shake but they tell you not to do that) anyways yah it will seperate from sitting but its still fine.
I've read 48 hours in the fridge, up to 3 months in the freezer.
the reason t hat that happens is because the milk is not pasturized like the cows milk u buy in the store. i used to just shake it a little. the milk will last about 2 days in the fridge 3 if your fridge is really cold. and like 2 months in the fridge.
putting it at the back of the fridge, rather than say in the door, helps it last longer too.
I've heard conflicting guides for how long it can last, so I usually err on the side of caution and keep it for no more than 3 days.
