I got an iud put in two days ago and i am still bleeding from it. How long does the bleeding last? I had my period the week before i got it so its not that.
I've never had one but I googled "bleeding after IUD insertion," and it seems like a few days of light bleeding is common. If it continues for more than a few days or gets heavy, you should see your doctor.
I had an IUD before and I bled EVERY SINGLE day for 6 MONTHS!!! I was also having a lot of pain from it. It didn't agree with my body. They did tell me that my periods would be irregular at first but after a year I probably wouldn't get them until I got it taken out. 4 years without periods sounded good to me.
