We all know that there's plenty of info out there about the health benefits of breastfeeding for both moms and babes. But if you are still undecided about whether to breastfeed your baby or not, I just want to throw this out there:
Breastfeeding feels GREAT. It is really, really satisfying. It can be hard as hell at first--not because it's unnatural but because most of us have never watched anyone breastfeed a baby, and we're just expected to figure it out. So get help. Go to La Leche League meetings or breastfeeding support groups and talk to other lactating moms.
Cuz once you get it down, you are likely to be amazed by the completely relaxed, loving feelings you get when you breastfeed your baby. You are likely to feel wonderful about being so important to your baby. You are likely to treasure the time your spend breastfeeding as the most personal, intimate, and beatiful treat. It feels really, really awesome.

I just wanted to second this! Breastfeeding gave me such a warm, glowy, loving feeling towards my kids. No matter how stressed out I was that day, all I had to do was sit down in a comfy chair, attach baby to the breast, and just relax. They would always look up at me, and try to touch my face, and it was just the greatest feeling in the world.
And when they get to that point where they start yalking to you while they have your nipple in their mouth, or they stop mid-feed and look up at you with this huge adoring smile. It's SO special. I <3 breastfeeding so much!
I love that breastfeeding smile! It is so cute and i am gonna miss it when he weans!
