Im so happy right now... for those who didnt know my boyfriend was planning on breaking up with me after I had our baby, because he didnt feel ready and all this ... but this morning we were talking and I dont know if you would call it a compromise or what.. but we decided that while living together wouldnt be the best option, we are going to continue seeing eachother after we have the baby. We live together right now, and I was planning on moving out to my parents for a while so I can learn how to take care of a baby, and then im going to get my own place, so we were going to break up when I moved out but now we arent. Its not ideal..i would perfer to continue living together, but this way we are able to continue our relationship and I can give him the time he needs to become more stable and ready to be a parent. I juswt wanted to share because it made me so happy and im now having a great day.
I'm happy for you that things are moving in the direction you want them to! Good luck w/BD. Just take things in stride. It is your relationship too. So, if this set up he is designing for your relationship doesn't end up making you feel good stand up for yourself. Once again, luck and happiness to you!
Although I still feel that he is being a little unfair, I'm happy for you and I hope things work out! It just seems unfair because he's able to step out of the situation until he feels he's ready to be a parent, but you don't have that option because you're the one who's pregnant.
I hope he sticks by his word, but if he doesn't, it's good that you were already making plans for yourself and the baby.
