vibrating razor?

I bought a vibrating razor at the grocery store today. I can definately see why a lazy may like this product, but I don't see how it helps with shaving. Any ideas?

This stumped me too. Unless girls want to use it for the same reason I use to buy electric toothbrushes...

i saw one on tv, and was wondering the same thing, but i guess it is supposed to somehow get a closer shave. Dont know how but the commercial claims that it does.

i'm on the phone with my gay boyfriend- he's got one, too. he says that the vibrations stimulates the hairs and raises, causing a closer shave. and, for him, it's like a mini facial massage, so it would be like a leg massage for us?

heyyyy my vibrating razor doesn't work like that! :x .....i tried....

and yeah, i also heard it is supposed to stimulate the hair or whatever. I also heard it was to exfoliate the skin while u shave. Whatever that means....one of those words that is just too girly for me..

Venus Vibrance? It's probably not strong enough to have a 'second purpose' if you know what I mean

My sister just got one and her legs felt the same as they did with a regular razor.

BUT, I think the men's ones works better.

my best friend swears that the Venus one makes her legs so much smoother but I don't know. I'm not willing to shell out the 9.97 to try it!

I've cut myself enough times while shaving, the last thing I need is a vibrating razor. I was tempted to try it but i'm afraid the results will be disastrous and i'll be decorating myself with lots of bandaids.

I'm horrible about nicking my legs but with A's m3 I didn't once. I'm really thinking about getting one for me.

The actual metallurgy is the same in each razor, but there is a difference in what is called the "shave angle." Men's razors have a greater angle, since beard hairs are generally coarser and tougher than women's underarm and leg hair. The sharper angle leads to a more aggressive shave, but men worry less about nicks since their faces have been toughened up, while women are more sensitive to the pain, and don't enjoy pulling pantyhose over a layer of bandages.

Women's razors also have a smaller head and more of an arc in the handle, so that they can see clearly no matter what awkward position they have to assume while shaving. Interestingly enough, studies have shown that many women willingly use men's razors, whether due to price or convenience (when you're in a hurry and all you can find is your hubby's Mach 3), while a much smaller percentage of men would ever grab a pink Daisy disposable to tidy up that five o'clock shadow.

wow! thanks for that. More useless information to fill my head! :) Actually that is pretty interesting, that must be why i can never shave right when i use a mens razor.
