I'm thinking about getting my nose pierced and maybe my tongue. I was just wondering to those of u who have them, did they hurt really bad? And is a nose piercing a sign of anything? you know how guys with a right ear piercing only, are said to be gay or whatever. does nose piercing state anything? I have my belly botton pierced and a tattoo, but I am ready for something new :0)
I've had my tongue pierced twice and always end up getting sick of it and taking it out. The first time I got it done, my friends who were with me said that my face was green when I came out... I wouldn't say it hurt...it was more like a pinch.
I've never heard of a nose or tongue piercing meaning anything. Except of course, guys always want you to suck their cock with your tongue ring. Personally, I have a small mouth and having a tongue ring just made it harder to perform oral sex.
I've had my tongue pierced twice as well. The first time I took it out, I was hungry. :oops: The second time, I said "to hell with it" and ate anyway. Took it out eight months later because it bugged the shit out of me. But then again, I get annoyed very easily, so don't get discouraged.
I don't remember it hurting, but I remember tears falling down my cheeks anyway.
I would love to get my nose pierced! But my nose is sensitive, and no one would give me a straight answer on how much it would hurt (I've had three kids, but I'm afraid to get my nose pierced.. Sheesh!). So if you get it done, tell me how it goes!
I've had my nose pierced and I loved it. I'm able to get it done sometime soon. (it fell out in december).
I went the easy route and had my mother-in-law do it for me, so I was able to get lidacain shot into my nose first to make it numb. But it didn't last through the whole piercing...so it did kind of hurt. It felt like a ton of pressure and then a bee stinging your nose. But as soon as the needle is through, the pain is gone.

I had my tongue done for six months back in 1999 (it felt like a weird unnatural pain, but nothing excruciating) and I lost half a molar because of it. I bit down on the ball one day while eating and after that it was nothing but trouble. I ended up having to get the tooth pulled.
I really want my nose pierced really bad! BUt I have allergies and I'm wondering what kind of affect this would have? Anyone with allergies and a nose ring?

I've had my nose pierced since I was 12, so 9 years now. Every spring I get really bad allergies. I pierced mine in winter so that it'd be mainly healed by when spring came. It's pretty easy to blow your nose with a nose right, it doesn't come out the hole or anything, but for a while it'd hurt when I sneezed. Other than that it's pretty much the same.
i want my tongue done also i might be getting both my top and bottom lip done :D
Thanks naivete! Now I know there is hope! LOL I think I might have it done by middle of summer so its healed before my fall allergies kick in
while on the subject of piercings, i recently got my nose repiereced as well as a left industrial (SO SEXY), and my piercer gave me....emu oil to put on them. he swears by it, says that it's the newest aftercare product, will help them heal faster, etc. i'm kind of weirded out by it. i still do sea salt soaks/anti-bacterial washes, but not so much with the oil. only, like, 3 times a week (as opposed to twice a day, like i should be..)
anyone else used it? does it work well?

I kind of wish I could get more piercings, but I'm pretty sure I have a sensitivity/allergy to some type of metal, so my existing ones (just earlobes) have given me a lot of trouble since I got them done 4 years ago. Right now I wear the ones I got them pierced with since they don't seem to bother them (maybe cause theyre goldplated?) and other earrings I can only wear for a few hours before they start to itch, and if I tried to leave them in longer than a day or two they start turning bright red and leaking clear fluid.
Hey memphis....strange that you just mentioned emu oil....my sister in law was just rubbing that stuff all over a rash, in my car today. She swears by it, for just about everything. How do they get it??? I have to admit, the thought kinda makes me want to barf.
