I beleive Canada will not give you an abortion after 16 weeks. If you want one look in the yellow pages for abortion clinics, or maybe talk to a pregnancy crisis nurse and maybe she can help you get set up for an appointment.
I'm not sure about that britney. Canada doesn't really have an abortion law. I looked it up and found that the Canadian Medical Association's abortion policy defines abortion as the active termination of pregnancy up to 20 weeks' gestation but I don't know what it would be considered after that.
i just want to add. dont talk to a crisis pregnancy center (cpc) or anyone there! Call a planned parenthood if at all possible. Be very careful of who you talk to because so called "cpc's" are anti choice and try to get you to not have an abortion.
In Canada the CPC are to give you adoption and abortion papers because it's illegal NOT to. Or maybe that is just in Ontario. I'm not to sure, but I was just told that when my friend was pregnant. When I go to my local CPC tomorrow for some books and all that if they try to talk me into abortion I'll freak lol.
I worked in abortion care in Seattle for years and a lot of our patients were from BC. The provincial government paid for ABs past when they were available in Vancouver (at the time, 14 weeks). Otherwise, there is funding available for women seeking abortions (citizen or not). Try the Abortion Access Project online (sorry, don't have its address).
Kyamo, you can get one after 16 weeks, but not easily. When I found out that I was pregnant, I was 18 weeks along. My doctor informed me that I had very little time to make up my mind, because I would need to go to the states to get an abortion because many places around here won't do them that late. I think I had until 20 weeks to get one in Toronto. Can't remember exactly, though.
But yeah, the earlier the better. I'd call the clinics to make sure, and then spend the time you have trying to figure out what you want. Good luck.
23 weeks in england is the max... if u really want this then see a doctor fast
