Just a bit about me. I am 45, a certified nurse midwife, mother of 6 (all grown) and grandma of 4. I had my first baby at 17, and was treated very badly during my pregnancy and birth of the most beautiful girl ever, my Christa. Because of my experiences, I decided that I would become a midwife so that less women would be treated that way. I have to say that I am fortunate to have been in that position as it gives me a unique perspective on teen pregnancy and birth. I care a lot about the women who choose me for care, and hope that more women of all ages will choose midwives for their support, caring and committment.
