I don't like/buy them either.

Here's 2 other threads which mention bratz, barbie, etc, that you might be interested in reading:

Bratz Dolls?

I can't stand Bratz dolls either. I was trying to find a present for my bf's step-daughter's b-day and everything at Walmart and Kmart (the only 2 big stores anywhere near me) was Bratz! I finally broke down and bought her a Bratz jewelry making kit, just b/c it really had nothing to do with Bratz except their logo on the box.

I think they're repulsive. I would never want my daughter to play with a doll that purpetuates every negative stereotype about young women. BLECH!

Exactly, they are very negative aren't they? They project an image of women that is demeaning and, in my opnion, create a standard of beauty and "coolness" that is repulsive.

Especially since they're marketing them to really young girls. I'm sorry, but a 6 year old does not need to know anything about being sexy. :(

Have you seen the new Baby Bratz or whatever they're called. They're pretty bad too.

Ugh. I just hate all this marketing to children crap. :(

Yes I loathe them!

And Barbie dolls and Disney princess bullshit. The whole damn lot, I can not stand it! Burn them all!

Oh man,my kid would be devastated if we burnt all the Disney Princesses! :)
I really don't have a problem with Bratz, but my kid's not interested in them anyway so maybe i just haven't thought about it too much at this point.

A good alternative to Bratz dolls and Barbies is Groovy Girls. Eric has one and he likes to cuddle with it. He has the gwen one. They dont really have a wierd body so to speak since they are plush. The one he has the shirt says Chicks Rock! And their outfits, while fashionable, arent very skin bearing, for the most part.
