Child Support Services finally tracked down my ex and they set up a hearing for child support. Well, the day of the hearing he called them and told them he was seeking legal counsel. So, they gave him 2 wks and I have another hearing on Oct. 4. What's the guy thinking? That he can get out of paying child support? We've been separated for almost a year and a half, he hasn't paid anything during that time. He just makes me so mad! I got off the phone with child support services and I just started swearing up a storm! I was at work at the time, but thankfully no one was around! I can't wait until I'm actually divorced from the jerk!

I feel for ya mama. That really sucks but hope it evens out and you get what you need from it all.
Have you already started the divorce process?
He wont get out of paying but he can sure get it modified by asking for more visitation.
When I did my divorce, i did it first and let support go for the time. Then while I filed for support I was able to submit my legal documents stating that I have full custody so he can't play any games.
I have to live in Wisconsin for 6 months before I can file for divorce. That will put it at the beginning of November. I lived in Illinois before that, and tried to file there, but my lawyer was crap and never filed anything with the court. This was after working on my case for 6 months. I moved to Wisconsin for job reasons and then found out that she had never filed anything on my case and therefore I couldn't continue my case in Illinois. So that sucked. She was appointed by legal aid, so I didn't have to pay her anything. When I told legal aid what happened, they were not happy. Hopefully they never use her again.
I've got a court date of Oct. 4th now for child support. They are requiring that BD or is legal representative attend. Child support services wants me to attend too. I hope it's just his legal representative, b/c if I see him there I think I will get physically ill. Actually, just the thought of him being there is making me queesy. I don't want to see the guy and I definately don't want him to see me or be anywhere near me. I don't want him within 100 miles of my daughter. Child Support services also said they'd determine tax stuff, medical stuff, and custody at this hearing. If they do anything with custody, that's total bull. They don't know any of the circumstances for my leaving him or how he treated me and his daughter.

I am disgusted by these deadbeat fathers. I can not comprehend why they do not want to help raise their children. I have a court date as well, it is on Nov 2. I am requesting sole custody and child support. He was never there for us from day one. He won't pay child support because he says that I will spend it one myself. He believes this about all women. A red flag went up while I was pregnant. Nigel was on the phone with his friend and said "Do not put any money in her hand, just buy the baby toys and diapers."
I get sick whenever we go to court as well. I won't go into details but my body begins to do some unpleasant things. I have never had so much hatred fo someone before.
