hey
ok in my interpersonal and group dynamics class i am doing a presentation on how society views teen moms.. i need info and sources of views from society, and stats too! can someone help me, im in Brantford Ontario Canada and i need to get together a awesome presentation.. i has to be 5-7 min long (im bringing in my kids :P)

The book, Dubious Conceptions by Kristin Luker has some great stats, historical perspectives and theories that you could use. Also check out Ariel Gore's Hip Mama- especially Alli's chapter "When I was Garbage". Then, of course, there's this whole site and the articles on the front page... and Chocobotkid's Girlmom play. Will you be using a power point presentation? I'd add the images from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy http://www.teenpregnancy.org/media/psa/ads/adthanks.asp and point out how an organization that intends to provide a positive service is, in actuality, furthering stereotypes and promoting discrimiation toward teen moms.
