1) mine did not hurt. A few parts it was a little tender but for the majority of the time i was trying to contain my laughter so the girl wouldn't fuck up my tat. lol. i think this isn't a normal tattooing experience, though i could be wrong.
2) I did worry about the permanence, but i am positive that i made the right decision. I decided on what i wanted, and gave myself a good 6 months to mull it over before i went ahead and got it done. I am pretty commitment-phobic so this is something that was really, really important to me.
1.
a. One on my right front hip (pegasus flying over a rose) didn;'t hurt too bad, was my first one. Not scary at all.
b. Tribal with a blue rose on my lower back. Honestly, it hurt...but I don't have a very high threshold for pain, and I hear that for different people different spots are more sensitive/painful.
c. Unicorn head on my back left shoulder. More uncomfortable getting it done cause I had to sit with my arm bent in front of me so the skin would be stretched taut. Not too bad though.
d. Kanji for "dreams" and a sun on the inside of my right wrist. Not painful, it's my favorite too!
2. When I got my tattoos I got them all within like a 3 week period. I don't regret getting them, although I do wish I would have planned them out better, like mapped where on my body I was getting them and stuff...I kind of just walked in to the place and chose there lol.
i got mine around my ankle (thinner skin, close to the bone) and it didnt hurt that much. getting blood work is more painful, i think.
i got a simple tribal flower thing so its very generic and because its on my ankle i dont see it alot so i often forget i have it. i got it about 4 years ago and cant wait to get another one. i just havent decided what and where.
Mine is on my lower back (although it is quite large and extends up to the middle...). It hurt after 3 hours...it took 4 hours total. That last hour was agonizing.
1) I have 3. The first one I got is in the middle of my lower back, it is of a cross, rose, vines, and my grandmother's name. The second one is on my right shoulder, it is an italian flag. The third one is on my hip/thigh, it is the chinese symbol for love. None of them really hurt. THe one that did hurt the most was the one on my lower back. The guy went a little to deep.
2) I choose my tattoos for sentamental meaning. I won't regret them in the future. Thier not like to much and they all can be hidden.
1. Where is it and did it hurt? It's on the back of my left shoulder and it hurt most when the needle hit my shoulder blade.
2. Do you worry that you won't like them years from now or regret getting them? I worry a little bit about how it will look when I'm old... but it doesn't bother me too much cause you only get to live once.

mine is on my left bicep. Didnt hurt at all. was more of an annoying feeling if anything.
I saw the tattoo i wanted when i was 15.. my parents said i couldnt have one till i was 18.. when i was 18 i STILL wanted the same tattoo. so one day (just before i turned 19) i went and got it.. so im pretty sure i will never regret it
1. i have two. one on my lower back and one on my hip. the one in my hip hurt alittle (i was super skinny then so i was a bag of bones) and the one on my back hurt a little too but not at much as my first...
2. no. i got the first (which means strength) after i had a bad breakup and i needed to be reminded daily of how strong i was. and the second is for xander so i don't think i will ever regret that. i got both of mine in places that can be covered up so that if when i am older they aren't quite as appropriate i can just cover them up... :) plus i doubt when i'm 80 that many people will be look at my hip or lower back...
1. okay, I've 8. My eldests name in Hebrew & my youngest name in a banner held by birds on my left arm. 2 blue & yellow nautical stars on my lower back. Wife's name & the wheel of fortune from the rider waite tarot deck on my left foot. Blue borneo travelling star on my right foot and the person/mind symbol (that Einsturzende Neubaten use, but is actually 1000"s of years old) on my left arm.
Hurt? yeah, but not unbearably, one of my tattooist's said that he'd seen many men cry from pain of tatt's but never a woman. The feet sucked. The closer to bone and less fat you have the more it hurts. The least painless was getting the Hebrew inked 6 months after giving birth, I was still quite chubby, easiest time to get a tatt! Lower back felt weird, it shot pain and odd feelings to other parts of my body.
2. Nope, I'm sure by the time I'm old I'll be over having regrets. My first tatt I probably wouldn't get again (person/mind symbol) if I was 18 again, but I don't regret it - it's part of my flesh.
Ageing changes you so much anyway; wrinkles, droops, greys. Don't think a bit of old ink'll bother me. I want my tatt's to age well though, sunscreen is mandatory once you've gotten tatt's unless you want them to be blurred up.
1... i have 2... one in the middle of my upper back and one in the middle of my lower back... and no it didnt hurt... you go numb or get used to it after a few minutes.
and
2... for one thing, dont get one just because you want one, wait until you see one that calls your name, so to speak, and secondly, if you do get bored with it later you can either cover it or remove it... and as far as mine go, i am not worried about what i will think later... they are a part of me now and always will be.
Let's see, I have about 6 or 7 hours of work around my waist, over my hips and down to my pubes, and on my ass. It was mostly done in two sessions, not counting touch-ups (it's grey work, which almost always needs touch-ups after healing).
The spots just inwards of my hips, over the ligaments that run across your pelvis killed. The first hip itself was okay, but by the time she got to the second, I was tired and in a bad part of the endorphin cycle, so to speak. It really fucking hurt. Down closer to my pubic bone was not bad at all. Parts of it felt good, oddly. But again, maybe that's just where I was in terms of endorphins and relaxation.
The ass, contrary to popular opinion, is not fun either. Like, shooting pains up my back. Made me twitch. Also, I wasn't laying down, so had a harder time relaxing. The lower back was also fine.

I don't worry about regretting it at all.

This is one of my tatts
Oh sorry! and also it wasn't that bad at all. I also have one on my thigh, its a rose with flowers under it :)
