On December 1 at MCTC in Minneapolis there's going to be safe sex ed forum. It will be from 11:30 to 12:30. I will be there from 11 to 1 doing some tabling. I will have petitions, fact sheets and stickers & bottons for donations. There will be a speaker from Planned Parenthood and Meghan & Robynne from NARAL will be speaking as well.
I am really excited about this because there are NO resources at my school on safe sex ed, bc, ec, abortion access, etc. NARAL is doing a thing about the EC problems we've been having with access & getting it over the counter and about "abstinence-only" education in schools.
I hope this gets MCTC on the road for at least something. The guy starting it is doing it for the Urban Teacher Program and is going to try to get something every semester at least and I am going to be doing a lot of helping. I can't wait!
yeah i told you about that study naral is doing right? Rediculous.
fyi I volunteer at naral and they had me stage call around to different college campuses asking for the morning after pill (aka ec) the ppl at her school had no idea what I was talking about and told me I could go to any pharmacy around me to get it w/ out a perscription (which is not true)
I know, that makes me mad! :evil:
I'm actually going to bring that up to the guy doing this thru the Urban Teacher Program... we need to educate these ppl, that's insane.
What study?
We did those stage calls this summer at Maryland. It was so incredible how many people had no idea what it was or how it worked. PHARMACISTS!
