Worried about your child's development?

Thu, 2006-12-28 10:45 -- Chicamocha

http://asq.uoregon.edu/activities/

It is a link to an ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionairre). It's a short test to do with your child that tests them in 5 areas of development (communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving and personal-social). There is a score sheet as well that will help you score the test. If the child falls below a certain level you should try to find an agency like Early Intervetion that can help your child catch up.

Sat, 2010-03-20 21:02 -- missiy

I wanted to let you all know that I am doing a parent as partners training with Early Intervention. I have been given lots of information to share with others. If anyone has any questions I am sure I have the answer in the millions of pages of information I was given. OR I can always ask at the next session. :-)

Its been quite the week, first the blow that Nova has CP, and then yesterdfay we had Te's IEP and he meets the criteria for educational autism and will be placed into early childhood special ed classes.

Next we need to seek out a Dr to do testing for medical autism spectrum disorders so we can get a diagnosis and appropriate therapies, etc.
